Internet Advertising Competition online video award

Warrensville Heights, OH, April 19, 2010 - Pyramyd Air, the world's largest mail-order airgun retailer, won top honors for Best Retail Online Video from the Internet Advertising Competition.

The video about Pyramyd Air's special protective packaging of airgun pellets was produced by Paul Capello and Patrick Wilkinson and selected as the winning video due to its creativity and unique way of getting the message out. Capello is also known as the Airgun Reporter and has produced numerous product-related videos for Pyramyd Air. Capello and Wilkinson produce the American Airgunner TV show on the Sportsman Channel, and Capello is the show's host.

The video was developed to promote Pyramyd Air's unusual new packaging that provides the ultimate form of protection for soft lead pellets. Pellets usually come in metal tins with slip-on lids. These lids, while taped shut horizontally, frequently slip apart during shipment, spilling the pellets into the shipping box. Because pellets are soft lead, they often get damaged once they've spilled and cannot be used by shooters because they're no longer aerodynamic and will be inaccurate.

After months of research into the different densities of foam padding and various cardboard box specifications, Pyramyd Air came up with the ideal way to safely package airgun ammo. Their packaging protects against damage from the outside and prevents tins from opening and spilling their contents during shipment. Their research has paid off, as no claims for damaged pellets or tins have been placed since the new packaging was instituted.
